Highlight alternate rows
March 13th, 2007Sometimes, you want to highlight alternating rows in a spreadsheet and make it ‘stick’ even when you delete or insert rows.

In order to achieve the effect of having alternate highlighted rows, we can use conditional formats. First, select all cells, then in the main menu, select Format->Conditional Formatting.

Pick a background color and you’re done.
